One of the joys and blessings of getting to visit NYC on a semi-regular basis (I've worked for organisations based there since 2011) is to see the amazing transformation that takes place between visits.
One of the most notable new architectural highlights this time was the Vessel, which only opened to the public a month ago. 16-stories and 150-foot-high, it is a series of connected staircases that provides wonderful views across the Hudson. Some even consider it to be Manhattan's answer to the Eiffel Tower. Even better, it is free to visit and climb, though there is a considerable queue for those free tickets.
I loved the gorgeous reflective copper shade of the polished steel platforms, and the overall elegance of the design. Really stunning!
