A bit of a departure from my norm today!
We had a hugely enjoyable and educational day at the Cheltenham Science Festival yesterday. It's been a few years since we last made the trip, but previously it was an annual must-not-miss event when the kids were home-educated. It's certainly grown in that time, with many more attractions and activities available for children (and adults) to try out, without need to pay to participate in the workshops and seminars.
As usual, I took dozens of snaps that I can't share here! However, I was really drawn in by Rolls Royce showing off a deconstructed RB199 jet engine, previously used on an RAF Tornado. I found the combination of hundreds of intricately designed and manufactured components to be truly beautiful, and the light that they cast really captivating to capture.
I'm sure I'll be back to the usual cotswold landscape theme tomorrow!
