And just like that, it's seven years to the day since I lost my hero, my mentor, and my best friend when my father unexpectedly left the party early, and moved on to the great gig in the sky.

This day, like the six that have come before, has been spent in reflection. And some of it has been spent in the place where I still feel closest to him, in the studio, listening to some of the incredible music he left us with, joining in with him here and there, and having a little tipple of his favourite vino.

Love you old fella. Miss you every day.
