Beautiful exposition in Lausanne about canadian impressionism! I love these snowy landscapes!
Here is a painting of Lawrence S. Harris, 1916. This painter was a member of the Group of Seven, a canadian impressionist movement who want to stand out from the french movement by painting the grandiose landscapes of Canada in a daring way, with bright colors, here in very strong light contrast too. The further you get from the painting, the more beautiful it is!
Marta What a beautiful painting! This bright whiteness reminds me of Monet's "The Magpie". I'm always amazed by its light, the snow looks incredible there (just like in your photo 🙂) .
