Into the Light

Today we attended the funeral for one of my son's friends dad who was only 38 years old. It's somewhat awkward to photograph at funerals, but I wanted to capture something. We were walking out, and I looked back and the side door had opened, letting in some light, so I whipped out my trusty cell phone camera and snapped a couple of shots. A bit of GIMP to crop & adjust curves & de-saturate & add some canvas effect.

My Confetti Moon Lovely but so sad! When my father passed 2 yrs ago, I was moved to snap a quick, quiet pic as all of his grandsons carried him to his final resting place. It felt awkward at the time, but so happy I did.
