I'm building a theory about blue wetland birds: They are super skittish. Both the Great Blue Herons and the Kingfishers always seem to take off before I can capture an okay shot. There's two of 'em at the south marsh; this female (notice the brown 'belt' on the chest?) and what I assume is the male.
I've got the better part of the day off tomorrow, so I think I just might set up my kit and see if I can capture something a bit less crappy.
