jazzie I usually do a black-and-white project first, so that they need to look at or create special light situations. You could tell them to present their school surroundings in a way they‘ve never seen it (discovering new perspectives, hidden corners, ...). Or you make some long exposure stuff with them. They will love it once they know how it works!
