Old Screen

I was going to sell an old 24” Apple Cinema Display for $40 as „broken”. It did not work. At least I thought so. Then one of the potential buyers sent me an sms to try one thing. I tried. And the screen now works ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Ian Prince Ah what was the one thing you tried?

Paweł Kadysz Disconnected the power cable from the display and very slowly connected it back. The screen flickered for a couple first tries and then it just lit up normally. I think I jump-started the display :P

Ian Prince Quite by coincidence just yesterday I “fixed” my colleague’s dead Cinema Display by unplugging everything (including the power supply) for three minutes to bring it back to life!
