Oscar has a KTM Duke 390. Small but very fast!!!

I have a 17 year-old Honda Varadero 125 that everyone thinks is a 500cc bike it’s so big! Enough power and speed except on motorways on the redline at 12’000 rpm at 120km/h! Good cheap and reliable “starter” bike if that’s what you’re looking for.

Ian Prince There are quite a lot of “hipster” made-in-china bikes you can buy new. They definitely look cool but most of them are under-powered which makes keeping up with the traffic on main roads a bit tricky!

Paweł Kadysz I’m thinking about BMW 310GS, 310R or Yamaha XSR 125. I’m going to visit both dealers this week. I’d consider Honda CB500X, but there’s no Honda dealer in our town.

KTM Duke sounds fun but looks too „cool” for me :)

Ian Prince All very good bikes (that are on my “want” list!) but probably quite different to ride! I’m intrigued to know which one you’re more comfortable on! Do you have your licence?

Paweł Kadysz Yeah, I had my „full, adult” motorcycle license for 7 years. Just left Yamaha dealer. XSR125 won’t be available here until next year, so no test ride on that one.

Paweł Kadysz I do like it. 310R is too small for someone my size, but 310GS is just right. I’m picking up mine in a week or so.

Ian Prince That’s great, I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun riding it. I was on Oscar’s Duke today, really fast but too cramped for me to be comfortable so I get why you chose the GS. Looking forward to seeing some pics of it here!
