Termine. 2222

Termine means 'The End' in Italian. It's the End of the year. And Termine is the last hamlet of our village here in Ticino before the Swiss-Italian border.

And well... I thought today I would be posting my last pic here, number 2222, that's the third reason why the pic fits well for today. Recently I really came to a point where I found it hard to stay motivated to post a pic a day and the only think that kept me going on was number 2222 aproaching and my long streak. But well... guess what? The closer the moment of the 'last' pic came, the more the idea of leaving this place started to hurt. It is not that easy I thought it would be: Just bye folks, log out, that was it.

And then? Start something new tomorrow? But what? First I thought about posting pics somewhere else. Not on a daily base, but on a 'quality base', i.e. without streak pics. But I found no place I really liked. Insta? Too big, too mainstream. 500px? Interesting, but somehow I don't get warm with it and don't like the thought of sending all my good pics to a Chinese platform. Next I thought about making a sketch or drawing a day. But found no app or platform I liked. And anyway, if I make a sketch a day and then take a photo of it to upload it somewhere, why not here?
During the last days I came to the conclusion that this community is too familiar and important to me to just walk away and that I can do something different than what I did until today here, as long as it is photographed in the end everything works!

Maybe it is just as with geographical Termine: There is a rusty border fence there, but if you cross the border (there are two border crossing points (and several holes in the fence) and go to the next village on the other side it is just very similar to the one on our side. There is always something behind the end, and maybe something not so different.

So I don't know what happens tomorrow. I thought Pawel would force me to do something new and started to like this idea, but since it looks like he won't. So I suspect there will be some nr. 2223 tomorrow. If Tookapic will still be here tomorrow!
