Young Grey Heron

Happy New year! I could not see the young Heron today and was about to leave when I spotted her next to the fence round the loch. She was very distracted and kept looking up the loch. She also did not hang around to get all her fish (she did eat most of it), she gave a very short call and took off. It was very windy though and I know she does not like it when it is very windy, she often didn't appear on windy days. It could also have been the fireworks last night that scared her. Anyway she did eat most of her fish and let the crow know she wasn't happy it stole a bit.
