Young Grey Heron

The young Heron was waiting at the entrance again. When she spotted me she came walking towards me. I was just about finished feeding her when she went very still . I looked around and saw a man coming up the path. Next thing, she took off over to the loch calling as she went. I was just thinking that she never normally bothers about people passing, when a woman with a golden lab came round a corner. I am utterly amazed at her instincts.

I wandered over to the loch never really expecting her to fly over again but she must have been hungry because she was straight over to finish her fish.
