Yup, we got snow. In Canada. In the winter.
Still, some folks just don't seem to understand that this shouldn't be a surprise. It happens every year.
Story Time: Years back, maybe a decade or so, we had a group visit the Camp for a weekend. Snow was acoming down. Nothing serious (no blowing snow, or freezing rain), just a lot.
The folks from the city didn't seem to understand why we had only plowed the driveway and not put any sand down. Fair enough question, I guess. The reason: It was still snowing.
This, however, wasn't the right answer apparently. The person was whining because their minivan needed to be pulled out of a ditch, in spite of having brand-new ALL SEASON TIRES. Not snow tires, but cheap-ass All Season Tires.
Why this story for the theme? Just coming to that...
The person DEMANDED we pull the minivan out and "there better not be any damage or I'll sue". The magic words, I mean, seriously... threatening to sue because you couldn't drive? Okay.
I hope they learned their lesson after waiting four and a bit hours for a tow truck.
(For the record: The van was caught up in a snowdrift after taking a turn a bit too tight. The driver wasn't in any risk of injury).
