The young heron was waiting for me at the entrance to the park this morning. She had most of her whitebait then flew over to the edge of the loch. I went across and gave her another couple of bits then went in search of the male. The other female heron is rarely around in the morning. I found the male and gave him his pollock, I also gave the crow a piece of whitebait. I then went to get my weekly supply of fish. This afternoon the young heron flew over to the edge of the water and found a gap in the irises. I gave her more whitebait then went in search of the male. I could not see the other female but the male was waiting for me as was the crow. I gave the crow a bit of whitebait and the male got a couple of pollock fillets and a fresh sardine. I kept some whitebait in case I spotted the female on the way out. It is just as well I did as she was walking up the path to meet me, much to the amazement of a cyclist who had got of his bike to photograph her. I gave her the whitebait then headed out homeward. I passed a squirrel on the way out but don't think it was the same one from yesterday. It got a Brazil nut anyway.
