Just after midnight our birdfeeder had a visitor. It is hard to photograph the back porch area in such low light from inside the window, so I mounted the camera on a tripod, and grabbed a compact bright flashlight. With both arms stretched, I lit the raccoon with one arm close to the window, and pressed the shutter release with the other arm. Raccoon that are eating birdseed are in constant motion, so capturing a clear photo was challenging. I also had to use manual focus in such dark conditions.
