after 8 hours of travelling my brother told me that if I was already in Soest at the time of the Kirmes, I had to attend the festival. This place was really fun - a band playing music in a medieval style and half of the public holding cucumbers in their hands. The best looking, most beautifully decorated cucumber won a prize 😂

jazzie Tradition. But only since few years ago some (probably quite drunk) fans of the band brought the first cucumbers to the concert. Now everybody does and they made a competition out of it!
