There were 3 heron at the entrance to the park again. The little female, the young male and the adult male. Again lots of crows and the Gull and 2 juveniles. The young male is a bit slow at retrieving his fish and lost out a couple of times to the juvenile gulls who are very fast. I found that if I threw the fish into the grass heron got is as the gulls couldn't see it fast enough. I then made my way to the clearing. The little moorhen wasn't there but the really young heron (pictured - it is probably about 5-6 mth) was. It immediately got into the fish I gave it and appeared to be very hungry. I gave it a fair feed although I am sure it would have managed more then made for home.
