The heron was watching from the tenement roof again today. By the time I reached the slope in the park. there were 8 heron (one was very young - still all grey. It kept it's distance and just watched) The little female (pictured beside a crow) ruled the roost again. I am guessing that it was the same bunch as yesterday with the addition of the 2 Adult males and the very young one. Loads of crows again - they all got biscuits. As I was heading home I heard a heron call and looked up to see one flying overhead in the direction of Newhaven. I always feel that is the most special as the call had to be directed at me, purely because there was nothing else around.
