There were 8 heron today. The main ones that I recognised were the little female (pictured), the adult male, Jekyll, the male with the dark patch (which is fading as new feathers grow in). plus 4 I am not sure about.
There were only 2 coot chicks this morning. I don't think anything is wrong. I just think that they are becoming more independant and the parents are letting them get on with it a bit more.
