Nodhalten

This chalet is close to a hiking path in summer and in winter. I always thought that ‘Nodhalten’ had something to do with ‘Nothalt’, I.E. 'emergency stop' - as it is a small hut where you might find shelter when the weather changes - but @perry16 told me that I'm probably wrong and it's probably just an old field name. Anyway, the nameplate on the weathered façade with the Eiger north face in the background is pretty and tells stories.
