Bridget Braun I always enjoy your moon pics Jesse, thinking about taking one tonight too, the sky is clear!

Chris Breitigan I really enjoy your moon pictures as well! I see you're at 300mm for a focal length. Is 300 enough to get these shots or do you crop at all? I used to have a 200mm but my moon shots never came out close this quality, even when cropped. Keep up the great photos!

Bridget Braun I use a 300 and it still require some cropping but still comes out really good!

Chris Breitigan Good to know! Thanks (:

Jesse Lind Yes, I do what @bridget does. I do crop it :)

Jennifer This is perfect timing because I've wanted to ask you about how to get a good shot of the moon like this. I'm in Korea and want to get one before I head home, but have no idea how to do so. Can you run me through the basic process and what I'll need? (Good focal length, long exposure time or no? etc.)

Lok Wa just test it out... it's obvious - the moon is small and far away, so you gotta have a tele lens if you want the moon to be big and sharp. you can figure out exposure time when you're shooting it. If it's too bright, then increase the shutter speed.

Jesse Lind I used my telephoto lens and zoomed into 300mm to take the shot (you want to make sure it is not blurry at all) then I put it into light room and cropped it to where I liked it. It's pretty simple actually. You can use any lens really, but it just depends on how far zoomed in you want you photo to be. :)

Jennifer Great, thank you both!

Mihir thats a good looking marble. ;)
