Satoshi T Gorgeous! Great work Grace!
Ian Prince Impressive! I'd be interested in how you made it ;)
Ian Prince Both if possible :)
Grace Well, I'm definitely no expert at it, but I took 4 rows of photos. Started at the bottom left to right, then a row above right to left, till I had 16. On manual mode of course. Then did some colour correction in Lightroom, and exported images as tiff. I used auto pano giga to stitch the images together. This resulted in a weird non rectangular image so I put it in Photoshop and used warp tool to try straighten it before cropping... Sorry I'm so bad at explaining! Happy to answer any questions.
Grace @Ian I went to a workshop a few weeks back and the guy taking it takes amazing astro photos. He has a tutorial here theartofnight.com/2014/06/the-... I was a bit nervous to go there with my little Olympus camera but I wanted to see if it was possible to take astro photos without a full frame dslr like he uses.
Ian Prince Thanks for all the details @Grace - you make it sound so easy. In any case your lovely shot and instructions have made me want to try something similar :)
Grace Hope you try it :) just a case of finding a clear night seems to be the hardest part!
Ian Prince ....and the Summer nights are short up here in the North ;)
Grace Yes that too! Maybe something to plan for in winter? Haha
Gabriel oh my good! perfect
tigg This is outstanding in my opinion.
tigg Out of curiosity, did you mark this as a free download, for sale or private? Would make a great addition to my screensaver folder!
Satoshi T Thank you Grace for your creative process info! Autopano Giga is easy to use?
