tigg I was thinking about this is one of my waking moments during the night. Have you always lived there? Did you grow up near the lake? I suppose it is the same as people who live by the sea here in the UK. I love the sea, as I do your lakes, but where we live in Leicestershire we are as far from the sea as you can be. I imagine your part of the lake is less touristy and certainly far less busy than Geneve. Would be wonderful to "summer" there. In my dreams.

I was born between Geneva and Lausanne but as a child I was used to move every two years until I reached 12. Then I came back here and I fell in love with the lake.
And yes, it is not as busy as Geneva. Just a little village. Feel free to stop once if you can...
