Hattie Day It is an interesting conundrum I would agree @Ian, on the one hand you love and value the subjects and memories you are photographing and are so proud of the images you create. Yet on the other hand the precious nature of these experiences are sentimental and it can be difficult to view them objectively...
I am still undecided how personal I want to be with this project. It is interesting because I have always yearned to be more personal with my work and am inspired by others who are expressive of their love and emotions in their work. Yet when I try to be more intimate myself, I feel torn and worried inside.
I guess it's just one of those things, the more you do it, the more normal it becomes.
Like anything, it just takes a bit of practice.
