Romain amazing shot.... I'm wondering, Is this something that another animal left behind after his meal? It seems to be the half of a big fish....
bvphotosnap Thank you @Romain! It could be that another Osprey got the other half since I saw three in the air at the time. I was photographing a pair in the nest and just before I was leaving I looked over my shoulder and the one from the nest had just swooped up from the waters surface, I started shooting and discovered after I uploaded at home that it had just gotten a fish within seconds after I turned my back :D They are excellent hunters and even the Bald Eagles wait for them to get a fish and then steal it from them.
