bvphotosnap Thank you @agnieszka_mw I actually only spent about 5 minutes or so taking pictures because that is how quickly it passed by. Yes I would normally crop out the trees, the lamp and the white sky on the bottom left but I wanted to show wind and circumstance. This is the result of the type of lens and f-stop.

jayce Fantastic shot BV. As you say you have to guess, maybe by counting the #seconds intervals. I never captured one so far this will be one of my summer photo objective.

bvphotosnap Thanks so much Jayce! I actually just kept taking frame after frame with my remote like time lapse :D The timing was inconsistent since this storm was not just moving parallel of me but also away to the south of me. My hopes is that one day I will be in a better location with a great foreground, my wide angle lens and it will be dark out! :D I can hope ☺

craig You did amazingly well with this! We rarely get lightning here as well!

bvphotosnap Thanks very much @craig! Ideally I wanted to use my wide angle lens but hopefully one day I will be in the right place at the right time with the right lens :D

jokele Amazing, I've never catched some myself

bvphotosnap Thanks so much @jokele! It's more fun if you are somewhere to have a great view over a city I think :/

jokele Yeah, blue hour, view over a city, city lights and lighting strikes :)

azral excellent shot! i think composition is great with the lamp and trees. i like it very much!

bvphotosnap Thank you so very much @azral I really appreciate your kind words of support!! ☺

Tomasz Dolata WOW super photo :) I envy positively, I have never managed to capture a picture in the lightning...

bvphotosnap Thanks so very much Tomasz! You should try it! but from a place where it is safe! ☺

freyr Wonderful! It seems like the lamp is the source of one of the lightnings. And the other great part is that you managed to catch to of them on one photo and they're kind of parallel. Great job! :D

bvphotosnap Thanks so much @freyr! It was definitely pure luck that they showed up where they did, I just aimed in that direction. ☺

Danuta WOOOOW !!! Great ! Congratulations on speed, reflex :) ! I have not done it yet, I hope that someday I will get to that moment :) ... You caught that very well ! @bvphotosnap :)

bvphotosnap Much appreciate @Danuta thank you! I would like much more practice but I have to wait on the weather :D

Margie I like the lamppost in there. Looks like the strike is coming from it and gives a reference point for the size and location of the lighting. I know this took work to get- good for you!

bvphotosnap Thank you Margie! It sure does happen in the blink of an eye. Maybe one day I'll get lucky and have a better vantage point ☺
