Satoshi T Very nice! Recently the number of high buildings is increasing around PKiN, but it seems like there is only one. Great work @zlasu !

ponzu Freaky how much it looks like Moscow State University... until one finds out it is built by the same architect, Lev Rudnev. Then it is no longer freaky, just curious.

The seven Stalinist Empire buildings in Moscow are referred to as The Seven Sisters, and the PKiN in Warszawa is sometimes called the Eighth Sister, or so Wikipedia tells us. It was supposed to be built in Moscow, but it was decided that it would overshadow The Kremlin, so the project was scraped. The plans that had already been drawn up were revised and used to build PKiN. Probably nothing the Polish people are too happy about? Still it's a nice building.
