ponzu You should take more photos through this window, maybe make it your theme for a while. Experiment with looking at the window from different angles: straight on, from left, right, below and above. Notice what it does to the geometry of the window, how the lines and angles skew, and to what you see through the window.

Try this 'technique' (or trick): compose your shot and wait for something to happen. Maybe a bird will fly in, or a cloud will move just so, or a dog will poke her head through. See if this works for you. I tried it, and this happened: "Snowy egret".
