Waiting for a bus

Let me tell you of my adventures with public transport today!

I had it all planned to go out milky waying tonight. Beautiful night. Not a cloud in the sky.

I anticipated catching the 5:53pm train to Bendigo, which ended up leaving about 10 minutes late. We got all the way to Watergardens, which is a train station about half an hour away from the city on the express train, when we hear an announcement that due to an issue up ahead, we will be here indefinitely and buses may be arranged. After about another 10 minutes we hear that buses will definitely be organised, and that trains are likely to be out for the rest of the day. Yeah........ I've had too long a day for this already. So I jump off the train and get a suburban train back to the city. I decide seeing as I'm already on the trains I will just get a train to Elsternwick rather than changing to a tram. So I jump on a Sandringham train.... and wait. And wait. And wait. 35 minutes we wait "due to a train stuck at the station in front of us". that's the equivalent of 4 trains worth of people on one train. They finally tell us to jump onto ANOTHER train (?) that was on the platform next to us, and finally we're off.

So why this shot? This was me very tiredly waiting at the bus stop for a bus at Elsternwick, instead of walking home.

And yes, the bus was on time.
