Red Giraffes

I left work late today, which gave me an excuse to hang around until sunset. I'm glad I did.

When I got to Port Melbourne I realised that the usual spots to shoot on Princes Pier were taken, so I decided to sit and overlook the pier instead.

Port Melbourne is our main cargo area. The giraffes are cranes that pick up the storage containers and place them onto trucks. It's pretty interesting to watch up close!
A lot of people think they're an eyesore but I think they give character to the horizon. And they have a cool nickname. :)
