azumac Thanks. Yes, by all means, give persimmons another try. Just watch out for the mouth-puckering astringent ones. If you get the ones that are called "Fuyu," you'll be just fine. Don't wait til they're mushy. Eat them while they're fresh and crunchy. ;-)

Michael Gatton There was an old persimmon tree outside my grandmother's house when I was growing up. Fruits were tiny by comparison. Always thought they were gross -should give them another try now.
