It was very emotional weekend for me. So many mixed feelings, so many hard feelings. The history of mountaineering is written on our eyes. I've never expected something like that - rescue team (Adam Bielecki & Denis Urubko) flights from K2, climbs over 1000m up starting at about 5000m in 8 hours, in winter (Karakorum winter to be precise), by night - unbelievable! Luckily they manage to save Elizabeth Revol. It hurts so much that Tomek Mackiewicz has to stay on Nanga Parbat. And this action happened on the day when I've started to read Bielecki's book. And just after I've ordered my expedition boots. Such cases makes me think.

And yes mum, I always look after myself.
