It's not the Sky that's spinning [day 118]

You can't see the apparent motion of the stars with a quick glance at the sky. It's something that some time and patience.

And a place dark and open enough to see most stars.

To create this picture I went to an abandoned village in the inland of Sicily, and left my camera shooting on a tripod for more than 3 hours.

If you look carefully, you can see a small, bright circle, near the top of the bell tower of the church: it's Polaris, the North Star, that's drawing a small circle in the sky, just because it's not exactly put at the North Celestial Pole.

Composition of about 430 shots, taken with GoPro Hero 4 Black, developed in Lightroom Classic and stacked in Photoshop.
