Day Three - Sally B (Flying Legends Duxford)

After two days at the RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo) i have moved to Duxford to see Flying Legends Airshow. On the background there is a B-17 Flying Fortress named Sally B (painted as a Memphis Belle plane). Sally B is the only flying B-17 in the UK. It was also playing the role of Memphis Belle plane (together with other four flying B-17's) in the famous movie - "Memphis Belle".

tigg Lovely shot. I could tell you some tales about the Sally B. Best one is when husband was in it ( as a thank you for a kindness done) and an engine was shut down due to no oil pressure. Landed safely, no damage done.
