Lauren Huston It's always so strange that here, we have half the country on fire and it's hot and humid and we're sweltering, and yet you get snow.
Actually, being that it doesn't snow here at all, even the snow seems exotic.

Joe Fortin Don't get me wrong @Lauren, the snow is a nice change from the deer flies and mosquitoes.

We work with kids at the Centre from all over the world. A couple-a-few years back, we had a group of kids from Africa come up for a visit. It was December, and they had only been in country for a month or so (that year we a very late start to winter). Sadly, when they arrived for their camping trip we had no snow. Oh well... C'est La Vie!

Out they went with their classmates. All-in-all that first day went well. They set-up their tents and went to sleep...

...This next part I'm both angry and proud of my team...

That night we got about a foot and a half of snow. The boys woke up seeing snow for the first time, while on a camping trip, in the "wilds" of Canada.

And no one took a picture.

(My team were in the moment and played with the students... While I was upset I didn't get a picture... the marketing would have been grand!... they did what they needed to do.)
