This moment, when you plan since some time to make this photo for this particular day and you get #theme-technology in addition :D
This is my actual 1024 (1K) photo - as I don't count one file uploaded about two months ago. When I went into 3rd year here I knew that this 1024 will be more important for me than 1000 - it's just so round number in binary: 10000000000 :)
I'm into computer science since secondary school and it somehow shaped me during all those years at school, studies (greetings to all those professors who thought that ability to count spectral density is crucial for future programmer) and later on at work. Some kind of algorithmic thinking and special kind of humor is what I can't imagine my life now. I'm really happy that I've hit on that path - I won't lie that it was my passion since I was a child. First computer at home appeared when I was 14 or 15, Pentium 133 with Windows 3.11 and I was totally terrified when I needed to restart it. But later on I've used it for creating cheatsheets and even made a 500-pages songbook - then needed to be split into over 10 files as such "big" files were not possible to handle.
It's funny how in those 15-20 years everything changed so much. I can't impress my friends hanging around with 2GB HDD in external pocket. Or having CD burner with 24x speed! I wonder what percentage of people here ever used FDD not for fun ;-)
And mentioning the fun... I wonder if I have enough fun here to make it till 2048.. will see :)
PS. I had another idea for this photo - a washing machine, as it was invented so the women also can program =)
