Satoshi T if you forgive an advice..., in this case, if you use edge enhancement or "Nature Mode" , you might use no edge enhancement or "Portrait Mode" for more natural and soft result I think. Nice frost. lovely. Hanna. :)

I do not know if I understand you well, but not been using any mode or Nature Mode or Portrait Mode - just took a photo on a morning walk (with my Irma) my little compact camera (using Aperture Priority)
Satoshi T I'm sorry to confuse you. Honestly, I feel the edge of background bokeh is not soft. and I think bokeh's edge enhanced by DSC-RX100M3 's "scene selection" or "creative style" function. if you set (and forget) as "Nature" or "landscape" , it enhanced edges.
