Maybe this is what I saw the other day...

And by 'maybe' I am leaning heavily towards 'ya, this was it'. Also: Still not a Black Duck... :(

Was out looking for my ducks this afternoon when I spotted this Broad-winged Hawk not too far from the marsh. It flew away a few times, eventually I was able to get a shot. (Normally I would frown on folks chasing a bird ...it can cause it a lot of stress... but in this case I had to literally get to the other side of where it was perched.)

Also: This is a FOY (First Of Year) for me!

Also-also: This is a 'sorta' Lifer for me. I say sorta because a) It's the first time I've recorded on eBird and b) I'm fairly certain I've seen 'em before.
