It wasn't planned, I was hoping to just do a sunset there, and I plonked myself down and waited for it to get a bit darker. I knew the bridge did lift occasionally and there's a site that shows the time and dates of the scheduled lifts, so I had literally just loaded up the site to have a look when the next time would be - I was disappointed because the next time that I could feasibly see it lift wasn't for another couple of days, and then I had a look at Saturday's times to see how much I had missed the last lift by - and then realised there was one scheduled for 8:30pm and I looked at the time and it was 8:30 on the dot and literally 10 seconds later the bridge lifted! I genuinely couldn't have planned that better.

FYI there is a planned lift on Wednesday afternoon :)
