Grey Heron

The 5 Heron landed near the dovecote They were the little female (pictured) nervy male, middle male, the other female and the adult male who landed then took off back to the water. I started feeding them and all was going well. A man stopped at the dovecote with his little dog on a leash and stood watching. He bent down, I thought to pick the dog up but no, he took it off the leash and when it came and chased all the heron away tried to call it back. Why I asked my self. Anyway the 4 heron just flew up the slope away from the dog and we continued. I made sure to save some for the male who was at the clearing this time.
