Festival atmosphere

I stumbled into a beautiful park with late night picnickers and partiers. The cherry blossom paths were all lined with these beautiful lanterns.

I could not get this to be crisp and clean and I feel like there's a lot of light blur around the lantern. What can I do next time to avoid this, or how can I edit this in post to fix it?
