I'd have many photos of today that might be photographically more interesting. But it must be this one. I had tears in my eyes when we were in the lift to the top of the tower and then stepped out and the whole city was sparkling under our feet. And it still makes my emotional when I think back. Probably this is how it feels to do something that was on the top of your bucket list for almost your entire life.
Ever since I was a child and my grandparents travelled to that city and told me about the Eiffel tower and the TGV I wanted to travel to Paris by TGV and get up to the top of la Tour Eiffel. I travelled around Paris with my family several times. Bretagne, Southern England, Wales... even London. But my parents didn't want to visit Paris! When I was grown up, I wanted to get there with my friend. He found the city too big. So I got him used to bigger and bigger cities over the years 😉 and we planned a trip to Paris in 2020. Then came Covid. Travelled around Paris by car once again.
And now, finally! 😍 Tour Eiffel. And TGV. So happy!
Basia Super, dreams are there to be fulfilled
