jazzie You have had a couple of phantastic nights! Thank you for sharing them with us - even though your photos are causing heavy 'aurora jealousy' in me!

Michał My pleasure to share it. If anyone is considering travelling to subarctic directons - I can highly recommend it. Just remember that there's no bad weather, only not enough layers of clothes 😉 And probably your gear will freeze faster than you. After beeing exposed for a few hous to -25 Celsius and below, my camera started malfunctioning. But luckily, it was recoverable state 😀

jazzie After a few hours? Mine did after a few minutes 😖. But it was very cold. We don't know exactlyhow cold, but the car's thermometer stopped working and the birds stopped flying, so our guide said it was around -35°C. We've been to lapland in winter several times, around 6 weeks in total, but never have seen much aurora. Either low activity (Finland, Sweden) or clouds (Norway).

Michał Oh, so you're seasoned arctic visitors 😀 We had cold times, especially at the flowing river, where water do not freeze, the feeling temp. is much lower. But I don't think we crossed -35.
And clouds were my main concern, too. Forecast changes fast, even through the day, so it's mosly luck. I wished I've been up there just a week earluer, when recent geomagnetuc storm hit the Earth. Keep trying 😉
