Water wheel

This water wheel powered a flour mill in Steffisburg. The building now houses a bank but this remnant of the past remains. There is a modern small local flour mill across the road. The flume or mill race which in the pic can be seen bypassing the wheel runs for about 2 kilometres through the town and there is still evidence of the water powered industries that were fed by it.
