Packrat that I am, I had been gathering fresh bamboo sheaths shed from the new shoots (tookapic.com/photos/359514 ) that emerged this year from our madake timber bamboo, thinking that I should/would put it to good use. Thanks to encouragement from @wenkuang and some youtube tutorials, I made my very first batch of zongzi.
