craig Quite scary really!
Ian Prince Indeed, but not anything like as scary as the tragic situation the Italian hospitals are in right now.... 😢
tigg What a difference a month makes .... so hard to believe. Let us all hope and pray that Italy soon turns the tide ... and that we have the sense and planning not to get into that state.
Ian Prince I’m obviously watching what the UK government is doing and can’t figure out why stronger mesures are not being taken.
I listed to the UK’s PM talking about believing the tide could be turned yesterday.... I don’t want to get political here but to be honest I was shocked with how naive that statement is without the strong mesure to go with it. IMHO it’s not a tide but a tsunami that risks happening the way the UK government is handling the crisis.
tigg Switzerland has many more cases than us but so fewer deaths. We have to hope that the Government know what they are doing - as much as anyone can at the moment - but we have so many people in this densely populated country. I imagine there is a different feel in your town high up in the mountains.
Ian Prince IMHO the Swiss government mesures could have been applied one or two weeks earlier, especially with the density of cases being not that far behind Italy's. Crossing my fingers the UK quickly takes the drastic mesures needed to avoid a national tragedy.
Up at home in the mountains we're just as concerned as those living in the cities. It's just easier - and nicer of course - to get out of the house and keep the 'social distancing' that is required.
craig agreed
