Marta Tomaszewska Omg, one of my Keen sandals are with me over 10 years! Maybe try the shoes for construction workers? I think most hiking ones will not survive cement in such amounts, as the sole needs to be a bit soft to have proper grip.

Joe Fortin I've been told the same (about the construction footwear). As long as I can find something without steel toes I'll be good.

Marta Tomaszewska It could be hard. But meanwhile you've inspired me and I've checked soles of my shoes - I also use trekking ones, but have more pairs :D And for example older Scarpa Mojito (rather "city" model) is in better condition than TX4 from La Sportiva (approach ones). But if Keen didn't survived... it could be hard to find something :D
