The young Heron

The young heron was back this morning and what a welcome I got! As i was getting close to the clearing I heard her calling as she flew past me at the other side of the trees. As I approached the clearing I could see her looking through gaps in the branches to see if I was coming. As soon as I reached the clearing she was standing waiting for me. She had nearly all her fish although the magpie managed to nab some as well!
