tigg Yes - that is the hoar frost. Moisture in the air freezes like that. Unless I’ve deleted them all I’ll try and email some images on Sunday - even more obvious.
jazzie I know what hoar frost is, but I have never seen it like this - usually all needles look in the same direction because of the wind. There must have been absolutely no wind!
