Lauren Huston I checked on him that night and he was happily perched on the same branch, but sleeping. The next day he was gone but there was a bowl of water under his bush (We've had some really hot days recently) so I can only hope someone else has noticed him and is looking out also!
jerseyshawn Mother birds kick them out before they can fly because predators stalk nests! So this little one is fine with the parents watching and feeding it. I had blue jays a few years in a row and was lucky enough to watch them "fall out" and hop away. By the end of the day, they could do little flights!
